Edison, NJ, Saturday, April 26, 2014 – Edison Wetlands Association (EWA) will celebrate Earth Day 2014 at the twelfth annual Earth Day event at the Triple C Ranch and Nature Center, the last farm in northern Middlesex County. The event will be held on Saturday, April 26 from 1 PM to 5 PM (rain date Saturday, May 3, 2014) at the Triple C Ranch located at 206 Tyler Road in Edison.
EWA’s Earth Day celebration will be dedicated to Jane Tousman, a longtime advocate for the Dismal Swamp Conservation Area. EWA will be planting a tree and honoring a special person with the newly established Jane Tousman Award for Environmnental Execellence. The event will also include wildlife exhibits in the Triple C Nature Center, a petting zoo, live music, eco-tours of the Dismal Swamp Conservation Area, raffles, and arts & crafts for kids. Volunteers will be leading a nature cleanup of the Bound Brook headwaters and trails next to the Triple C Ranch. The suggested donation for admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children and free for active EWA members.
