Edison Wetlands Association launched our Environmental Justice Program in 2002, due to the overwhelming demand for assistance in New Jersey communities.
Environmental justice issues are largely ignored in many communities in New Jersey. EWA works in communities that are negatively impacted to restore and preserve land. We have over 20 years of experience with community organizing and empowering residents to improve their health and better their environment.
Because of our many successful communities, EWA is frequently contacted to provide assistance to community groups in underprivileged urban areas—at no cost to the communities.
EWA launched Environmental Justice Toolkit (EJToolkit.org) to provide helpful resources and tips to communities dealing with pollution and other environmental justice issues.
