1. What is Re-Purpose New Jersey?
   Re-Purpose New Jersey is a sustainability pioneer that recycles clothing, shoes, and other textiles from businesses, municipalities, universities, and schools at no cost.  By keeping these materials out of landfills and incinerators, recycling textiles is good for the environment and saves millions of hard-earned taxpayer dollars in disposal costs.
2. Does the Re-Purpose New Jersey textile donation program cost my business anything?
   No, this does not cost you a dime.  In fact, your business could likely write this off as a tax-deductible donation for any space utilized.  Businesses like Edison’s Heller Industrial Park, South Plainfield’s Sherben’s Diner, and the Oldwick General Store have discovered that Re-Purpose New Jersey offers a win-win for participating businesses.
3. Do textiles really cost our taxpayers millions of dollars?
   On average, textiles constitute 3 percent of all landfill use.  Paying $60 per ton in landfill costs, the savings from textile recycling can add up quickly.
4. How can my business receive a tax deduction for participating?
   Re-Purpose New Jersey will provide you with a non-profit donation receipt, for any space utilized by the small recycling bins, that you can submit to your accountant to determine your eligibility.
5. Who services the textile recycling bins?
   Re-Purpose New Jersey takes full responsibility for emptying the textile recycling bins every week, and more often if needed.
6. What items can be placed in the bins?
   We accept all textiles, including clothing, shoes, bedding, and stuffed animals.
7. What happens after the textiles are picked up?
   All textiles are resold to a distributor with proceeds going directly to well-established local 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations.
8. Are the clothing donation bins fully insured?
   Yes, the clothing bins are fully covered.  We will provide your business with an insurance waiver upon signing the attached form
